Another Republican, this time a high ranking member – Congressman Darrell Issa – joins the tin-foil hat gang of birthers and deathers with this horrendous statement and outright lie that President Obama wants to change our Constitution into some form of “South African” one. See video.
ISSA: We’re going to establish a very different policy. One, that we have a president who will respect the Constitution, not try to convert it to some [inaudible] South African Constitution. [Applause]
The ridiculousness never ends with the GOP. If you can’t win on the facts, win with ones you make up. Scare the old white people to death by using racial undertones in code.
Darrell Issa should be ashamed of himself and so should anyone supporting this notion that Obama is attempting to change our Constitution in any way, let alone to some “South African” form.
